With mom being laid up after having her second and hopefully last, carpal tunnel surgery (she had the first wrist done over the winter), it's been a rather crazy week. She's healing well if not better than the last one, she was even able to tie her own shoes today.
Of course my day started early. I was wide awake at 520am this morning with a few ideas running around in my head (I hate when that happens) and couldn't go back to sleep.
After breakfast, hubby and I decided to venture out kid less for a little bit. With the sun shining and the snow not falling, it was a much welcomed break for sure. We ventured out and visited a new little craft store near where we live.
Stepping into the little shop, I was immediately in paper heaven! All kinds of papers and embellishments that you don't find in the big stores like Micheal's or AC Moore. Needless to say, they didn't have a couple of the items I originally was looking for (but they ordered it for me) but I did end up purchasing a few extras that I didn't know I needed lol.
New goodies to play with! |
And in spite of everyone being home, it's still a rather quiet Saturday (or what's left of it anyway). I think I might just go back to painting or play with my new goodies. Either way there is a very fun creative mess to be made!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
oooh, can't wait to see what comes from your goodies. I love little shops like that, although do adore Michaels...wish it wasn't an hour away in a city the hubby hates driving in LOL
ReplyDeleteI too love the little shops, they are so much fun and more personal than the larger ones. But I do like my larger stores (more paper to hubby's dismay lol).
