Eureka! I think I might have an idea...

A few years back I had discovered polymer clay and loved it. At about the same time I had an idea for gifts for the hubby and a few of our witchy friends. And a new obsession was born. They were hand painted polymer clay Gods and Goddesses (I've always had a thing for the numerous dieties that exist). I asked them they viewed the Maiden, Mother and Crone and the Gods that I did were ones that relivant to the guys I made them for. I really loved making them and loved the reaction my friends had when they received them.

Over the years, they had gotten a bit better than the prototype ones (and of course I can't either find the pictures of the newer ones or hadn't taken any). At the same time they had gotten better, I stopped making them for one reason or another.

Today, I had decided was going to be a rather productive day when I crawled out of bed. Not only did I have to drop the kiddo off at preschool and want to work more on my craft swap, but I had a rather extensive list of everything I wanted to get done today. On that list was to come up with some sort of crafty item I can make to sell on Artfire or Etsy. And it had to be something unique as well as something I can craft from the supplies I have on hand. While folding laundry was when I was hit by the proverbial 2x4 lol. And of course like the space cadet I tend to be (I admit it, I can be a bit of a flake from time to time), I had to drop everything and get it written down before it escaped on the back of any other idea that would eventually slip into my head.

So here is a couple pictures of the ones that I have made. I consider these to be prototype-ish because they could use a bit more working with. But even if they were prototypes, I'm still happy with how they turned out.

Triple Goddess : The Maiden, Mother and Crone

I loved making these because I made most of the elements (including hair) out of polymer clay and just painted them with craft paint. And I had a lot of fun making them and all the details that went into the whole process. I think after I finish my craft swap projects I am going to make one other prototype and see how it comes out before making a final decision about them. But chances are, I am going to be making a rather large number of these.
