Back to the daily grind

We got home from our camping trip yesterday afternoon and we very much looked forward to sleeping in our own beds.

Our trip was relaxing with a few moments of excitement mixed in. The major moment was torrential rain. Our campsite, as well as the rest of my family's sites, experienced about 4 to 5 inches of water at one point. Surprisingly enough, no one had water in their tents and we didn't have to spend the day at the laundromat drying our gear. Other than that, it was a wonderfully relaxing trip. Something that was much needed.
Our trip started with a visit from one of our winged friends. It's funny that it decided to land on the back of my son's head before making a place for itself on the tree on our campsite. We crossed paths with a second dragonfly but that picture is still on my sister's camera.

Here's a close up of it. This one was a brown and gray blue color. I was drawn to its eyes, I have always had a facination with them.

The St. Lawrence River has some amazing sunrises...

And sunsets...

And then sometimes, sunsets lead to amazing skies...

My uncle hasn't seen a sky like this in years. This is the first time I've seen one like this, and it was amazing! I can see why sunsets on the River were my grandmother's favorite when she was alive. I'm sure she would have loved this one.

So it's back to the normal day to day grind, along with some purring cats starving for attention. I think they missed me while I was gone lol.

I am finishing up a few of the journal pages that I started while at camp. I also have a few other projects that I am working on, including a guest project for Andreann's blog while she is awaiting the arrival of her newest bundle.

Until next time...

Happy Crafting!
