Embrace your inner Goddess Digi Art

Digital Dreams over at Willowing has come to a close and it's a bitter sweet ending. I've really enjoyed the course and looked forward to each weeks lessons. I'm a bit sad that it's ended. But I learned a lot and will continue to create digital pieces in addition to everything else I create. Tam is such a wonderful person and teacher.

Here's my week 5 creation.

I leave for our family camping trip in 3 days. And I plan to be armed with some creative outlets so that I may dig myself out of my creative rut that I've been in lately. Wish me luck!

WIP Tuesday: More Digi Art

I'm having a lot of fun playing in Photoshop lately, when my tablet and software are on speaking terms of course. I am just in awe of what sort of effects you can get from a few tools and layers. I am really, really glad I am taking the Digital Dreams course. I am learning tons!

After completing my 3rd week's lesson, I decided to play a bit. We haven't worked with shading yet in the class, but I thought I'd try my hand at it a little bit. I am thrilled with how her eyes turned out. They almost look like glass. I have a bit of work still to do on her as well as deciding on a background. But I am really loving her right now.

1st Digital Art

I took the Art, Heart and Healing art journal course last year (I still am working on a few pages for that) from the wonderful Tam. I recently signed up for her Digital Dreams course and am really excited about it. So excited in fact, I spent this morning and afternoon playing around with my Photoshop and completing the homework for week 1.

We were to create an image with a blue background, add an image in, create a purple circle or square, make the purple object look 3D, and use layers.

I was totally inspired by an image I had collected when I got into paper crafting, hence the name "Power of Song".

I've only ever used Photoshop for editing photos. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Who knew playing with layers would be so much fun?!
